The Julien Fleming Memorial Fund
The annual Farpoint charity auction will be held on Friday night in the Hunt-Valley Ballroom following the banquet.
You do not have to attend the banquet in order to attend the charity auction. Last year we raised over $800 for our charities
and this year we hope to double that.
Our charities are the Julien Fleming Memorial Fund and War Child International. The Julien Fleming Memorial Fund
was established in order to help families whose critically or terminally ill children need treatment beyond the families’
ability to pay, and was founded by members of the USS Athena. War Child International is a network of independent
organizations working across the world to help children affected by war. Its goal is to advance the cause of peace
through investing hope in the lives of children caught up in the horrors of war.
Many of the items available for the auction will be on exhibit in the Hunt-Valley Ballroom during the pre-banquet Happy Hour
(open to all)and the banquet as well as on posters scattered throughout the convention. Please come and help us meet
our goal to assist these charities.
